Manager - Public Relations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

·         Strong track record of bringing energy, innovation and broad perspectives to the field of PR

·         Strong pitching experience, with record of successful placements

·         Demonstrated ability to create and execute against PR strategy plans

·         Proven ability to cultivate relationships with reporters and editors

·         Ability to interact with all levels of staff, from administrative to executive

·         Experience and expertise in utilizing social media in driving publicity

·         Creativity and broad thinking

·         Superior writing and presentation skills

·         Project management skills

·         Ability to execute against deadlines

·         Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·         5+ years’ experience in financial or business media relations in either an agency or corporate setting, or journalism background

EDUCATION REQUIRED

·         Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or public relations, or related field. Comparable experience will be considered as well.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION CONSIDERED A PLUS

·         Knowledge of finance and accounting

·         Business and consumer reporter contacts

·         Agency experience

·         Spanish Language Proficiency

·         Master’s in Business Administration
