KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

·         In-depth knowledge of the CPA profession and Section subject matter

·         Ability to represent the needs of the Section cross-functionally to other internal groups responsible for test development, maintenance, psychometrics, and testing

·         Ability to lead a volunteer Committee in the oversight, review, and approval of the Section

·         Ability to lead cross-functionally with various professionals that are not CPAs

·         Willingness to learn, understand and to be potentially proficient at test development and production, psychometrics, statistical analysis

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, manage work conflict efficiently across various professions, and deal effectively with diverse groups including bringing groups to consensus

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

·         Motivated, flexible, organized, and committed to high quality work product

·         Leadership and management ability in a matrix-management environment with non-CPA professionals

·         Ability for collaborative constituent communications and management

·         Proven expertise with volunteers, boards, external constituents, etc.

·         Ability to set goals and expectations in areas without direct responsibility

·         Demonstrated passion for the profession

·         Knowledge of the profession (Section) and professional standards as it relates to the Section

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·         Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting related to the Exam section

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED

·         CPA
