Analyst - Business Intelligence
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Ability to think holistically, analyze and synthesize data.
Ability to think strategically; ability to recognize relationships and implication of different initiatives and the opportunities or conflicts they might create; ability to create new and more effective ways of doing things.
Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, PowerPoint and a high level of proficiency with Access and Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, etc.
Strong business acumen
Strong analytical skills including data analysis, modelling, data mining, etc
The ability to find meaningful patterns in data, and translate those patterns into insights and recommendations for action.
Ability to retrieve information from a variety of sources, using a variety of approaches, viz., discussion, documentation review, data and system analysis
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively to gain insight and influence decision making
Ability to deal comfortably with both tactical and strategic issues
Ability to prioritize effectively
Some travel may be required.
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
3-5 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis and statistical analysis
Direct experience with tools associated with relational databases (i.e., Oracle, SQL)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or other relevant field
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
Master’s degree
Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, SAP, Business Objects, etc.)
