SUMMARY

A position advising and responding to members and customers via phone, email and chat queues to answer questions, offer guidance, process orders and assist with membership.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver a quick, efficient and outstanding memorable customer service experience
  • Drive positive survey responses and member loyalty to enhance the organization’s reputation
  • Document relevant information/transactions related to each customer contact in various systems
  • Collaborate with immediate and partner teams to resolve member/customer issues
  • Offer suggestions and solutions to improve the member/customer experience and internal processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

TRAINING
  • New hires will complete an extensive training program covering the following topics:
    • AICPA membership, products and services
    • The accounting profession, the CPA exam, licensure and continuing education requirements
    • Delighting customer
    • Department processes
    • Internal systems
  • New hires will also shadow seasoned team members to ensure a successful transition to the team.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
  • Clear, effective and professional communication orally and in writing
  • Technical adeptness and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, professional customer service
  • Punctuality and effective time management
  • Keen problem-solving
  • Proficiency in MS office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • High school diploma with some college
 
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS PREFERRED
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 or more years of previous customer service or sales experience
  • Building relationships
  • Bilingual
