Summary of Role

Provide analysis, document requirements, and performs testing for Association Peer Review’s technology projects.  Update workflows, forms and checklists in peer review’s systems. Review support tickets and prepare ad hoc reports. Support Peer Review technology initiatives.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Gather and provide requirements for new or enhanced functionality to Peer Review systems or Association’s AMS system as required.
  • Utilize and design work flow diagrams to help obtain shared understanding and agreement on system changes.

  • Provide guidance to programmers and/or the QA team regarding the desired functionality.

  • Understand integration with other Peer Review and Association systems.

  • Update workflows, forms and checklists in peer review’s systems.

  • Develop ad hoc reports and prepare statistics.

  • Review, research and resolve support tickets.

  • Perform testing on Peer Review’s systems in a dynamic testing environment.

  • Design and review use cases prepared by testers.

  • Contribute to user guides, training material, User Manual and On-line Help.

  • Train staff and external users (new programming, Conference, new Administrators, Association members, new Peer Review team members).

  • Partner with IT, BA and QA team.

  • Prepare Peer Review Conference presentations and present to Conference participants.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues and follow through to resolution, collaborating with others when needed. Recommend improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Basic understanding of web technology, database concepts, and reporting tools

  • Advanced understanding of general computer concepts

  • Detail oriented with the ability to create, document and/or follow process flows and requirements

  • Ability to lead others to achieve project goals

  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally

  • Self-starter and self-motivated

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • 2-4 years of experience in web technology, and general database concepts and reporting tools

  • Familiarity with requirements and testing processes and methodologies

  • Experience with creating use cases

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or other related field  

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • 2-4 years Business Analyst experience

  • Experience with ad hoc reporting writing tool

  • Experience with SQL

  • Knowledge of SharePoint
