Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Very strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation)
  • Experience creating and implementing communications plans.
  • Experience with targeted email campaigns.
  • Experience with targeted social media campaigns.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several different projects at once, and meet deadlines.
  • Relationship building
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience working closely with a board of directors
  • Solid knowledge and experience with MS Outlook and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team and leverage additional resources as needed
  • Must exhibit a high professional demeanor when dealing with various individuals at all levels of the organization and community
  • Ability to handle confidential information

 

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in communication, marketing, journalism or related field
  • 4-6 years of work related experience

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Non-profit experience
  • Project management experience
