Associate Manager - AICPA Foundation (Part-Time Position)

Summary of Role

Responsible for supporting the implementation of the strategic vision of the Foundation Board, primarily by executing the day-to-day activities of the Foundation and acting as liaison to external and internal stakeholders, along with the Senior Manager of Academic and Student Engagement. 

Will interface with other AICPA departments providing services to the Foundation and those directing programs that are funded by the Foundation. Maintain periodic contact with the President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Foundation Board. Increase the awareness of the Foundation and its funded programs in order to maintain and increase financial contributions to the Foundation.

Please note: This is a part-time position, working 20-25 hours per week.  


This role has two major parts, in operations and communications + marketing:

  • Serve as Foundation board liaison and help implement the strategic vision of the board. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the AICPA and the Foundation. 
  • Work with the AICPA finance team for grant coordination and distribution. Works with grant applicants including uploading and editing grant applications, sending approval or denial letters and assuring that applicants receive status updates on a timely basis.

Communications and Marketing

  • Implement a communications and marketing efforts for the Foundation which includes developing content for social media, targeted marketing e-mails, donor relations, and the website.

  • Work with internal communications, media relations and multimedia to implement communications and marketing plan
  • Develop promotional and collateral materials (literature, slides, banners, etc.) to publicize and promote the Foundation to external and internal audiences.
  • Develop, coordinate, and write content for the Foundation annual report.
  • Develop and write content for donor outreach communications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Very strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation)
  • Experience creating and implementing communications plans.
  • Experience with targeted email campaigns.
  • Experience with targeted social media campaigns.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several different projects at once, and meet deadlines.
  • Relationship building
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience working closely with a board of directors
  • Solid knowledge and experience with MS Outlook and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team and leverage additional resources as needed
  • Must exhibit a high professional demeanor when dealing with various individuals at all levels of the organization and community
  • Ability to handle confidential information


Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in communication, marketing, journalism or related field
  • 4-6 years of work related experience


Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Non-profit experience
  • Project management experience
