Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to manage multiple critical priorities with strong organizational skills; ability to deliver assignments within agreed upon timeframes with effective prioritization of duties skills

  • Ability to independently accomplish unique tasks without precedent or clearly defined steps or oversight

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • 3 years experience supporting projects; providing requirements, reviewing solutions, testing, documentation and training

  • 3 years experience in finance operations; working knowledge of core finance workflows, regulatory requirements and operational best practices

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional experience

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • PMP certification

  • Agile Project management certification

 

Job Impact:

This role contributes to the design of operational and strategic goals within Finance and supports the delivery of ASSN strategic goals. Within Finance, this role will engage with Finance leadership to identify opportunities for optimization and support planning and delivery. Within the ASSN, this role will engage as part of a cross-functional team to deliver activities as required to meet strategic and operational goals.

 

Contribution:

This role directly influences the achievement of org results by enabling the finance technology and operations to support commercial strategy. This is accomplished through business analysis, design review, testing, implementation, training and post launch support of finance technology and programs.

 

Communication Complexities:

This role is heavily focused on collaborative communication between multiple internal and external teams, often negotiating outcomes and steps to achieve outcomes. This role also provides updates and training to association staff on a regular basis.

 

Innovation / Problem Solving:

This role is intended to facilitate significant ongoing transformation of Finance functions in support of the ASSN’s strategic objectives. This includes the implementation of new Finance technology and the continued evolution of these systems to meet the evolving needs of the business.

 

Complexity:

This role supports interdependent programs and projects sourcing throughout the ASSN. Many of these have evolving requirements and there are many regulatory constraints impacting Finance activities. Additionally, this role may have to negotiate consensus between stakeholders, particularly in subjective areas or where concessions and mitigations are required.

 

Breadth:

This role primarily supports Finance which is a global team but to do this effectively, this role must consider and ensure alignment with various stakeholder across the ASSN globally.
