About the Role:

This a Sr. Manager level position that will lead the Association's design team, setting the creative vision, standards, and operating model that ensure design at scale. You will oversee both in-house and freelance designers and partner with brand, multimedia, and writing leaders to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand expression across assets. You will build a high-performing design team that delivers creative solutions to support our priorities and stay on top of evolving design practices and technologies. You will report to the Senior Director - Creative Content & Publishing and use a hybrid work schedule.

 

You Will:

  • Establish and lead the Association's design vision, strategy, and standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all visual touchpoints.
  • Promote cost-effective design execution at scale by defining workflows, roles, tools, and quality standards, supporting our teams. Ensure continuous improvement to guide smooth project flow along the content lifecycle and speed to market by developing and flagging improvement in processes or technology.
  • Lead a team of Graphic Designers and Senior Graphic Designers observing the Association's Management Charter, encouraging a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Provide senior-level creative direction and oversight, ensuring design work aligns with brand architecture, usability and accessibility standards, audience needs, and campaign strategy.
  • Partner with Writing, Multimedia, and Brand leadership to deliver integrated creative strategy, cohesive storytelling, and brand expression across campaigns and channels.
  • Champion brand alignment and design thinking with internal Experience collaborators and partners, communicating the value and demonstrating best practices.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in design or visual communication roles.
  • 2+ years of experience as an art director or Lead within an agency, in-house, or multinational environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in design- or art-related field or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible design leadership experience.
  • Previous success in creative communications that get positive results in the market. Including collaboration with marketing communications strategists to develop creative briefs. These briefs achieve our goals, refine approvals, and result in high satisfaction.
  • Experience directing others in the tools for design and publication of multiple types of content.
  • Demonstrated leadership in design, advertising or marketing.

The Annual Salary Range for this role is: $105,000 - $136,000
