Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
High quality generalist, with communications skills and expertise. Ability to develop comprehensive, integrated communications plans based on strategic thinking and aligned messaging consistent with AICPA thought leadership
Superb writing, presentation, interpersonal and project management skills
Proven leadership and management skills, with documented success in execution and problem solving
Effective execution and management of communications efforts, including development of plans and tactics and collaboration with team members and business owners
Knowledge of editorial, communications and project management best practices
Ability to function effectively and independently in a high pressure, multi-task environment
Project management skills
Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly communications
Ability to meet critical deadlines, possess strong research skills and be a skilled writer comfortable with technical subject matter and be able to mentor others in these skills
Ability to deal effectively with diverse groups of people
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
10 years’ experience in communications/public relations in a corporate or agency environment
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline
Experience and knowledge of the CPA profession and/or the financial services industry
