About the Role:

You will be the primary not-for-profit subject matter expert for the Association. You wil direct the NFP Expert Panel and related NFP Advisory Council, and represent the Association with standard setters and regulators on not-for-profit accounting and financial reporting matters. You will report to, and partner with the VP – Financial Reporting & Audit Quality in developing a strategy to serve Not-for-Profit Section members, Association members and engaged professionals, and complete with autonomy. This is a 100% remote role.

You Will:

• Direct the AICPA Not-for-Profit Expert Panel and related NFP Advisory Council. Represent the Association externally on not-for-profit standard setting and regulations including public speaking, monitoring and advocating actions of important industry and standard-setting groups. Develop the Association's positions, testimony, and comment letters to influence standard-setters. Manage relationships with important partners including the FASB Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee.

• Develop a strategy aligned with organizational priorities to serve Not-for-Profit Section members, Association members and engaged professionals. Evaluate the Association's market position in the not-for-profit space, develop new ideas and solutions to meet needs of target audience and exercise judgment in prioritizing the solutions that best maximize our strengths and opportunities while mitigating weaknesses. Operate with autonomy, taking responsibility for the team budget, setting performance measures and establishing team goals to lead strategy execution over the medium to long term

• Implement strategy to serve members and engaged professionals working in the not-for-profit space. Oversee development of the not-for-profit content strategy, serving as technical lead in that capacity. Maintain relationships with multiple Association teams, coordinating effort and applying leadership to assure team goals are met. Develop and review content produced for Section members, Association members and engaged professionals, translating complex material for ease of understanding. Resolve impediments to strategy execution

• Manage and and mentor your direct reports in a manner that promotes professional development, empowerment of staff, Agile development, market-centric focus, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

You Have:

• Certified Public Accountant

• 8 – 10 years experience in related field

• Knowledge of not-for-profit area of practice (accounting, auditing, tax)

The Annual Salary Range for this role is: $140,000- $165,000
