Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Strong negotiation, relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand internal customer and strategic supplier business goals and strategies with the intent of establishing and managing to a common set of goals
  • Track record of implementing Information Technology (IT) Category Management to strategically source IT services from new and existing PSS and vendors, negotiating and administering IT contracts with varying degrees of complexity and/or sensitivity.
  • Hands-on and adaptable leadership style with commitment to driving results and understanding business requirements and objectives
  • Strong presenter, demonstrating ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely to all levels of Association staff and strategic suppliers
  • Ability to bridge communication between the Association and PSS, with a focus on developing an understanding of how to drive greater value from PSS relationships
  • Keen ability to manage disputes and drive changes in supplier and business team behaviours
  • Detail-oriented with high degree of organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Skilled with understanding budgets, forecasts, projections and ROI calculations
  • Adept at providing coaching and mentoring to team members to foster career growth

 

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, IT or related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years of leading or managing complex, managed services and/or multi-sourcing contracts and relationships
  • Proven experience in the management of key business projects and initiatives
  • Experience in negotiating or managing supplier relationships
  • Ability to travel (both domestic and international) up to 10% of the time based on business needs

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • CPA, CGMA, MBA, PMP or other professional qualifications demonstrating the ability to tackle complex problems
  • Training in, and experience with, collaborative techniques, team building, dispute resolution and communication
  • An understanding of technology and its applications resulting from a technical background or experience working in IT
