Summary of Role:

Assist with financial reporting and finance support functions for assigned organizations. Aid cross-functional processes within Finance and provide decision support to the Association Finance leadership team for assigned areas.

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the issuance of external audited financial statements for assigned entities.  Assist with the year end audit and act as a liaison with external auditors.
  • Responsible for the preparation of internal financial statements for assigned areas.
  • Serve as liaison for internal stakeholders for assigned areas and for external stakeholders, such as internal auditors, members/committees/trustees as assigned.
  • Assist the Global Process Owner focusing on record to report and the processes and polices for assigned areas.
  • Support the implementation of new and significant Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)to ensure appropriate accounting and disclosure.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Association consolidated audited financial statements and integrated report.
  • Recommend, develop and implement process improvement changes to increase efficiencies and enhance/improve quality. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge and experience with the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Familiarity with not for profit Account and business combinations and/or consolidations
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

 

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of related finance, accounting, or financial planning & analysis experience,
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Master of Accountancy
  • Pursuing CPA or CGMA designation
  • Oracle Fusion and reporting modules
