IT Content & Document Manager
About the Role:
You will oversee the management of digital content and documentation within the organisation, ensuring that a customer and service-centric approach is taken, and observing IT Governance. The IT Content and Document Manager works with all IT teams and partners to ensure that the content and documentation needs are met. You will report to the Senior Manager IT Client Services. This role is remote-friendly.
You Will:
- Develop and implement a content and document management strategy incorporating the existing IT Service Catalogue, systems and software, and procedures.
- Establish and maintain content and document management standards, policies and best practices, in compliance with IT Governance and regulations.
- Manage the content and document lifecycle, from creation, approval, publication, storage, retrieval, archiving, and to disposal. This will include current IT processes, IT guides and internal web content, while collaborating with IT teams and external vendors.
- Produce monthly reporting on IT services and collating metrics from all IT teams to produce overall reporting packs and presentations.
- Maintain an IT Service Catalogue, which is accessible on internal SharePoint site.
- Ensure that the content and documentation are accessible, secure, and searchable, using appropriate tools and platforms, ensuring it is engaging and informative, yet user-friendly, making IT more transparent.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to deliver content and documentation requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to the IT staff and other partners on content and document management tools.
- Translate complexity, breaking down IT concepts into simpler terms that can be understood by a non-technical audience, especially during critical incidents.
- Provide counsel and brief executive-level staff on technical products and ongoing IT projects and developments.
- Draft critical IT updates, collaborating with internal comms team for review,
- Update IT intranet pages with weekly / fortnightly / monthly global news, ensuring everyone is kept up to date and informed on IT services, development work, achievements and much more.
- Develop and refine IT processes based on the ITIL framework.
You Have:
- A bachelor's degree in information management, communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years experience in content and document management.
- Knowledge of content and document management principles and standards, and IT Governance and regulations.
- Proficiency in using content and document management tools and platforms, such as SharePoint, Confluence.
