Summary of Role

Serve as subject matter expert for assigned accounting discipline and collaborate with team to govern, represent and develop credentialing exam, education, member benefits, subject matter content practice tools and aids/resources for members.  Contribute to monitoring the profession and discipline; respond to market demands to ensure AICPA members’ interests are protected through advocacy and standards setting in a global setting.

 
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Oversee development and execution of tactics and programs in support of complex and multi-dimensional strategic initiatives for forensic discipline and the AICPA/Association.
  • Primary liaison with the CFF Credential Committee  and related task forces to develop/manage resources and credentialing pathways to ensure the competency of CPAs and Other Qualified professionals in preparing for forensic credential exams and those practicing in forensic services
  • Identify opportunities for expanding forensic credential and related offerings internationally, while leading the domestic and Canadian credential program; drive associated membership and product revenue.
  • Lead team in developing and leveraging external relationships with consultants, influencers, state societies, CPA and forensic acconting firms, industry management professionals, academia, vendors, competing organizations, nationally recognized professionals, regulatory bodies and other as needed to further the discipline's goals, enhance awareness of the discipline and form relationships with key stakeholders and alliance organizations.
  • Lead effort with strategic partners globally to implement, offer and maintain forensic credential program
  • Strategize, lead and drive the development of global programs and suite of benefits for forensic discipline, including:  defining global body of knowledge, developing global educational pathway, develop global exam, practice aids, checklists, toolkits, discounts of products and services, educational webinars, technical newsletters and other resources, while ensuring effectiveness and quality of all offerings.
  • Responsible for membership growth and retention including AICPA, FVS section, and CFF
  • Oversee governance and advocacy for the forensic accounting discipline through leadership of related committees and task forces; ensure work is aligned with AICPA/Association and discipline mission and goals
  • Collaborate with Engagement & Learning Innovation team to identify, define and develop member products and services for a global audience; and coordinate the development and delivery of credential pathway programs including CFF Credential Certificates Program, CFF Review Course, and university materials
  • Oversee forensic-related publications and communications, including reviewing and providing final approval for all discipline material and resources prior to publication/dissemination.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and lead representative, both internally and externally, for forensic accounting discipline, including providing responses to inquiries, including media, technical questions, practice development questions, product development and regulatory issues.
  • Develop communication and web strategy for forensic accounting discipline; ensure web content is accurate and current.
  • Oversee and ensure marketing and member messaging is consistent and aligns with value propositions for various target markets.
  • Contribute to the development of and/or monitor both global and domestic standards for forensic accounting discipline; collaborate with internal teams and members to develop and implement standards and related tools and resources.
  • Lead advocacy efforts for discipline and credential through collaboration with the legislative affairs team and internal/external stakeholders to identify, analyze and communicate regarding developments and issues impacting the discipline.
  • Ensure member satisfaction, and committee and task force satisfaction by monitoring team interactions and effectiveness in responding to member needs.
  • Partner with internal groups, including Legislative Affairs, Engagement & Learning Innovation, Member Value and Communications and Media channels to drive membership and revenue acquisition.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to share ideas/best practices and increase understanding of other disciplines and raise the profile of the forensic accounting discipline to those outside of the immediate team.
  • Oversee both U.S. and Canadian credential exam development and administration, the credentialing application/recertification processes and related audits for both credentials.
  • Keep current on developments in the accounting profession and for forensic accounting discipline both nationally and internationally; monitor legislative, regulatory and industry landscape for news and developments impacting members.

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4-6 years related experience
 
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • CPA license
  • Masters in Accounting or equivalent degree
