Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow product lines Ability to identify new product opportunities from an understanding of changes in the profession and the needs of accountants and finance professionals
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals and influence outcomes
  • Skilled in decision making and problem solving
  • Self-starter, confident with entrepreneurial aptitude, and ability to manage multiple projects of with a moderate level of complexity and risk under tight deadlines
  • Strong business acumen with a market focused approach to business, and understanding of what drives product profitability
  • Strategic thinker; ability to generate and execute strategic initiatives
  • Ability to identify implications of actions and understand relationships affected and opportunities or challenges they may create. Ability to influence decisions and positively interact with internal staff from multiple teams, vendors/suppliers, members/customers.
  • Strong, articulate oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to understand and develop budgets and forecasts for a high volume of product
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products and demonstrated knowledge of web-based delivery and product management solutions


Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6-7 years’ experience in product management and development
  • Demonstrated understanding of the accounting profession
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in meeting budgets and deadlines, and growing revenue


Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Market research and analytics experience desired
  • Product development experience in learning & development
  • Experience developing products and services for a membership-based professional association and for global audiences
  • Understanding of product development and scheduling for multi-format professional, technical, and learning products.
