Summary of Role

Manage and assist in the creation of innovative programs, promotion, awareness materials and campaigns to attract, educate and encourage talented, diverse students to pursue an accounting career. Manage key web based high school programs. Provide strategic insight and support to develop resources and monitor trends to further the pipeline of students interested in the accounting profession and the CPA and/or CGMA credentials. Assist team members with assigned tasks.


Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for CPA Evolution initiatives to support students and faculty.
  • Manage the Dual Recruitment student membership program with state societies. This will involve the day-to-day oversight of the membership portal, state society communications and co-branded resource development and support.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop CPA and CGMA awareness materials and classroom resources.
  • Oversee and grow the Academic Champions program through webinars, campus events, faculty resources and student membership opportunities.
  • Manage the Trends in the Supply of Accounting Graduates and Demand for Public Accounting Recruits report through internal communications and external contractors.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with internal teams to ensure efficient and effective processes are followed, expectations and goals are met, and quality is maintained.
  • Recognize resources, communications and events needed and lead the development efforts.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Familiarity with accounting practices, trends, and regulations; able to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations with provided instruction
  • Working experience with performing tasks and identifying efficiencies related to developments and trends related to the organization's current and potential future uses of technology.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities

Required Experience, Qualifications and Education:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree (accounting, business, marketing, communications or related area preferred)
Preferred Experience, Qualifications and Education:
  • Previous experience in academic and student programming
  • Knowledge and/or experience in accounting education and / or in the accounting profession
  • Experience in association management
  • PMP certification
  • Experience working in a matrix or cross-functional role/environment
