Summary of Role

 
Responsible for delivering the growth and target numbers of the assigned market by understanding the Association full range of products suites (core products, PCG and CPAs) and commercializing them.  Ensuring the growth of student and membership numbers in the market aligned with the direction of the Association. Works with significant autonomy on operational matters.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director-Hong Kong to build a robust and viable business plan meeting the short and long term plan for HK aligned with the direction and focus of the Association.
  • Plan, manage and execute the tactical plan on all business pipelines identified ensuring final objectives are met.
  • Responsible for gathering of market intelligence by building a strong networking and relationships in the market- employers, university partners, regulators, students & translating them in commercial opportunity.
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential employer and university partners with the objectives to create the awareness of CIMA and identify viable business opportunities which eventually lead to brand recognition; increased demand; and ultimately generate revenue for CIMA.
  • Build the university pipelines and continuously enhance the relationship with existing employer and university partner by regular engagements and corporate visits in order to identify and develop further business opportunities of all CIMA products and services.
  • Strategize and present to potential employers (including CEOs, CFOs, HR directors and Finance Controllers), by understanding their key business issues and demonstrating how CIMA will add value to their organisation, with the aim of recruiting students and growing members.
  • Independently organize events targeted at employers and universities, plan and organise suitable networking events for aimed at enhancing strong relationships and CIMA brand identification to employers, members and public at large.
  • Work closely with Hong Kong Institute of CPA’s (HKICPA) to promote CIMA qualification, generate students & members, and ensure that CIMA is the qualification of choice for students.
  • Responsible for promoting CIMA to potential students by engaging the career services of universities, FE colleges and schools to raise CIMA’s profile and establish CIMA as the qualification of choice.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Event organisation and management.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organisation in fast paced, changing environment.
  • Proficient use of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin / Cantonese.
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • Minimum 6-8 years working in a managerial position with experiences in B2B account management, developing senior customer relationships and financial performance.
  • Minimum degree in Marketing / accounting / Business / Finance.
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin as well as Cantonese.
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • A degree or qualification in Accounting is preferred.
  • Working experience in the education field or in a membership organisation preferred.
