Summary of Role
  • To grow student and membership numbers in the UK and promote CIMA products and services and CIMA’s technical agenda.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • To engage key employers in promoting the CIMA qualification, products and services to their employees in the UK.
  • To work across CIMA to develop joint plans for employer led business development initiatives.
  • To drive employer activity to meet CIMA’s KPIs and longer term strategic objectives
  • To deliver student numbers to target.
  • To network potential customers and work with them to research customer requirements.
  • To pitch to potential employers (CEOs, CFOs, HR directors), through understanding of their key business issues and how CIMA will add value to their organization.
  • To devise development plans with major employers and secure agreements to recruit and or train CIMA students and members and generate sales of CIMA’s products and services.
  • To be the first point of contact, overseeing all CIMA activity and coordinating a consistent delivery of service from CIMA and third parties (e.g. tuition providers).
  • To identify underperforming areas and take corrective action.
  • To review and maintain the top accounts list.
  • To work across CIMA to deliver its business objectives.
  • To utilize CRMS for pipeline reporting and to share employer information.
  • Other relevant projects and tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • The ability to deploy a range of communication skills such as diplomacy, active listening, clear and confident articulation.
  • The ability to present through engaging, influencing and selling to employers.
  • The ability to develop and implement solution involving teams from across CIMA and third parties.
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • Experience in business development; able to point to achievements in securing new business and developing business relationships.
  • Proven consultative sales experience.
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • Degree educated
