SUMMARY
Lead and collaborate with creative, graphic design, production and Association communications teams to develop and execute work, from concept to execution, while ensuring products are aligned with industry best practices, CPA2Biz objectives and Association brand standards. Provide strategic and tactical counsel on marketing collateral and short- and long-term planning.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for timely client communications, satisfactory conflict resolution, compliance on client deliverables, sustained client satisfaction and client account reviews.
  • Consult with client to identify marketing requirements and ensures the work meets the client’s strategies.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Communications leaders and team to generate workable concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns, online efforts, print promotions, events and conferences, videos and general Association communications; keeps team informed of client/project status and issues.
  • Perform market research, oversee and review all projects from concept through completion, and sign off on all work prior to client presentation.
  • Lead client launch meetings and write follow-up launch brief for client approval.
  • Promote team’s creative culture by meeting with other Creative Services staff in an effort to share ideas, trends and other creative topics.
  • Identify work for award submissions.
  • Lead copywriting strategy and direction for client’s marketing programs and reviews all work submitted by copywriter and freelance copywriters.
  • Write clear, persuasive, original copy, with the right mix of technical content, writing styles (including advertorial copywriting) and tone to support successful outcomes; copy edit assigned manuscripts to achieve project objectives for revenue and conversions; ensure the appropriate use of Association’s and CPA2Biz’s branding systems for products and services.
  • Interview members, senior leaders and accounting professionals to gain insights, identify key benefits and produce targeted messaging as needed and curates content from across the Institute to ensure timely inclusion and focus, leveraging the work and insights of the broader Communications team.
  • Partners closely with production manager and production coordinator to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities related to the project.
  • Approves change orders and invoices.
  • Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, provide salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, develop employees; develop work plans and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 6 years’ experience in account management 
  • 6 years’ experience in copywriting in an agency or in-house creative services department, with a special emphasis in direct marketing of technical topics
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, marketing communications or related field
 
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED
  • Masters’ degree in English, journalism, public relations, marketing communications or related field
