About the Role:

You will lead the unprecedented strategic development of a new, transformative financial statement audit methodology that uses technology to enhance audit efficiency, quality and insights to clients. This methodology will guide the DAS and related assurance software tools, representing a significant new line of business for the Association. Reporting to the VP for Assurance & Advisory Innovation, you will manage the supporting team. This is a remote position in the US*

You Will:

  • Direct the development of a transformative new audit methodology.
  • Understand and interpret the audit standards under which audit services are provided, and demonstrate a working knowledge of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
  • Lead the implementation of the transformative Dynamic Audit Solution (DAS) methodology with a view to supporting ongoing and rapidly developing future innovation of the financial statement audit, and future integration of content and methodology for other assurance services into the DAS platform (e.g. attestation and advisory).
  • Direct the efforts of the DAS methodology and development team
  • Direct the maintenance and ongoing innovation of audit methodology over time.
  • Oversee integration of OnPoint EBP and OnPoint PCR with DAS including coordination of methodology and application and platform functionality (e.g. for taxonomy development and financial statement generation, content libraries, consolidation and carry forward, tax export and integration, data integration).
  • Be an expert member resource to answer technical questions.
  • Represent DAS development team in meetings, presentations and media interviews on relevant topics.

You Have:

  • A working knowledge of accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, FRF for SMEs, tax basis, cash basis, auditing standards including US GAAS, PCAOB, and ISAs)
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of controls (including ICFR)
  • Research and learning skills to develop knowledge in new subject matter areas
  • Have complex project management experience
  • 15+ years of experience performing private and public company audits across a range of industries with a major accounting firm
  • 10+ years of involvement in the development of audit methodology and audit workflow application development
  • Experience in technical writing and managing project deadlines

The salary range for this role is: $132,000-$200,000. Please note, this is a standard range and exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
