Senior Director - Public Affairs, Advocacy & Media

Knowledge of the Washington, DC public policy arena, legislative process and regulatory environment.

Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the institute, its members and other key constituencies.

Ability to think strategically and create multi-faceted communications programs with compelling content/messages.

Strong working knowledge of the media, extensive established media contacts, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively with them at the national and grassroots levels.

Strong writing and editing skills.

A can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant area

Minimum of 15 years experience in media relations within an association, corporation or public relations agency or relevant combination

Advanced degree, CPA or MBA desirable.
