About the Role:

You'll be the subject matter expert in maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of the business and end-users. The focus of your role will involve leading and overseeing the development and delivery of full-stack applications. For this role you'll need to have expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, guiding a team of developers and ensuring the successful execution of projects. The role also involves technical leadership, architectural design, code review, and collaboration with teams. You will report into the Digital Delivery Manager

You will:

  • Provide technical guidance to a team of developers. Coach team members, sharing best practices, promoting code quality, and encouraging a culture of learning and improvement.  
  • Design and develop full-stack web applications. This includes working with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies like server-side languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby) and databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). 
  • Lead the architectural design and overall technical approach for projects, collaborate with the team members to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and make informed decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and database design. 
  • Design user interfaces and implement user-friendly features that enhance the overall user experience. 
  • Build scalable and secure APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between the server and client-side components. 
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines, identify and address code issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Promote testing methodologies and participate in quality assurance processes. 
  • Develop the CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality. 
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into functional software solutions. 

You have:

  • Experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools. 
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GraphQL and popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. 
  • Experience in server-side technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java along with frameworks like Express, Django, Ruby on Rails, or Spring. 
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with ORM frameworks like Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, or Hibernate. 
  • 7+ years’ experience in advanced (e.g. Tier 2 or Tier 3) software support. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.  
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with collaborative development workflows.
