About the Role:

You will be the lead technical liaison in collaborating with volunteer members in leading the development of technical guidance, events, member communications, and resources related to sustainability assurance and advisory topics. You will help create guidance that enhances the skillsets of accounting and finance professionals as sustainability leaders, helping them perform evolving assurance and advisory services related to sustainability Information. You will report to the Senior Director - Assurance & Advisory Innovation. You will be 100% remote.

You Will:

  • Lead committees, task forces, and working groups in the development (and maintenance) of sustainability assurance and advisory guidance. This includes guides, practice aids and other nonauthoritative tools and educational materials; member communications; comment letters; or other materials for CPAs relevant to sustainability assurance and advisory engagements.

  • Identify market developments, issues and evolving member needs related to sustainability assurance; develop the response and solutions to address member needs observing Assurance Services Executive Committee (ASEC) direction.

  • Provide guidance and expert technical support on sustainability matters to the AAI Team and other AICPA teams.

  • Be the Association spokesperson in areas of sustainability subject matter knowledge related to assurance and advisory services through public and other presentations, media interviews, responses to member technical questions, and presentations to committees, members and other organizations to broaden awareness and market adoption of important programs among the AICPA membership, State CPA societies, and other interested parties.

  • Monitor and support association sustainability advocacy efforts related to regulatory, legislative, standard-setting, and other market developments.

  • You will be an individual contributor. 

  • You will identify, develop, and maintain strategic relationships and alliances with third- party individuals and entities that can assist in market acceptance of sustainability assurance and advisory engagements.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of relevant experience that delivers understanding of the accounting profession, auditing/assurance services, and sustainability reporting landscape.

The Salary Range for this role is:  $125,000 to $145,000 per annum
