Serve as subject matter expert for the Financial Forensics (CFF) Credential.  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to govern, represent and develop credentialing exam, member benefits, subject matter content, practice tools and aids/resources for members.  Contribute to monitoring the profession and discipline; respond to market demands to ensure AICPA members’ interests are protected through advocacy, standards setting, and growth of the section and credential.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the specific Credential Committee and related task forces to achieve strategic goals of growth, revenue and professional competency through the development of technical content.
  • Liase with global and domestic business partners to provide strategic direction and development of tactics, services, educational programs, resources and relationships to ensure continued competency and relevance for the discipline/credential and the AICPA/Association. Enhance and strengthen the discipline/credential’s strategy and tactics in connection with external relationships.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and lead representative, both internally and externally, for the credential, including providing responses to member inquiries, media, exam, learning, technical and practice development questions, credential requirements and product development and regulatory issues. Monitor legislative, regulatory and industry landscape for news and developments impacting advocacy for members.
  • Manage and lead any Credential Champion program, mentor program, university initiative, network group, standing ovation program or other association relationships that support the specific credential holders.
  • Develop strategic plan to support Association members providing services in emerging areas, including implementation of plan, development and curation of content for members.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of the credential’s accounting practices and procedures.
  • Additional expertise of the specific credential’s industry e.g. forensic services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts and influence decision-making where appropriate.
  • Ability to develop high quality and timely resources under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional groups including promotion of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Strong negotiation and consensus building skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to think creatively to provide solutions to obstacles or roadblocks
  • Availability for travel on an as-needed basis.

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • CPA license, MBA or equivalent designation/credential desirable
  • Forensic Accounting Experience
