About the Role:
You will provide complete events management, delivering webinars and collaborating on internal projects. You will engage with members and students throughout the UK and provide members with ongoing CPD. You will report to the Associate Manager - Events. This role is remote-friendly and we would expect you to be based in the territory for which you are responsible.
You Will:
- Manage a varied programme of events, to include producing the programme, speaker sourcing and liaison, venue search, event management, negotiation of rates, writing promotional collateral, advertising and acting on feedback.
- Responsible for budget including the development of an area budget, management of event expenditure/income and working within a set regional budget. Report on all financial positions and forecasts monthly.
- Help create an aligned annual business plan for allocated area(s).
- Attend up to four Area Committee meetings and act as minute secretary, including agenda liaison and production of relevant Committee papers.
- Manage relationships between CIMA and its local volunteer network
- Manage the social media coordination for the allocated area(s) of responsibility.
- Coordinate and facilitate the flow of communications between partners, internally and externally.
- Seek out opportunities to increase CIMA's profile.
- Input CMS web information, including creation of promotional emails that follows brand guidelines.
- Take ownership of the accounts payable/receivable process for the allocated area(s).
- Attend other conferences and high-profile events.
Qualifications
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years' related events management experience
- Experience managing a budget
- Customer service or marketing background
- Experience dealing with committees
- Experience with social media
