Summary of Role:

The Specialist, Finance Technology and Transformation will support activities and projects that manage, control, optimize and transform technology and operations with an emphasis on accounting and finance functional areas. This role requires cross-functional partnering within and outside of finance to ensure interdependencies are managed appropriately.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Administrate User Access policy and manage user access audits for assigned systems. Partner with stakeholders to understand and manage system access needs, balancing those needs against risks such as over-permissioning, segregation of duties concerns and licensing costs. Establish strong user access function within new technologies. – 30%
  • Support delivery of new technology and transformation by assessing change readiness, impacts and needs with partners; coordinating required deliverables such as communication, documentation and training. – 30%
  • Support delivery of new technology and transformation by administrating testing activities which could include creating and executing testing or coordination of testing activities for stakeholders – 20%
  • Develop and manage the centralized scheduling and communications for the Finance Technology and Transformation team. – 10%
  • Manage assigned administrative and operational tasks to ensure timely, accurate and complete delivery and routinely review for opportunities to optimize. – 10%

  • None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom skills
  • Ability to manage multiple critical priorities with strong organizational skills; ability to deliver assignments within agreed upon timeframes with effective prioritization of duties skills
  • Ability to independently accomplish unique tasks without precedent or clearly defined steps or oversight and translate it into a legible training or operations document for use by stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions anticipating and considering long-term implications and risks and known or predictable interdependencies
  • General understanding of end to end finance operations


Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • 1-year experience supporting projects; providing requirements, reviewing solutions, testing, documentation and training
  • 1 year’s experience in finance operations; working knowledge of core finance workflows, regulatory requirements and operational best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional experience


Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • PMP certification
  • Agile Project management certification
