Specialist - Payroll (6 Month FTC)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Working knowledge of payroll best practices

• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll information

• Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Familiarity with the financial and accounting system applications specific to AICPA and can perform related tasks with provided instructions

• Familiarity with the processes, concepts, methods and tools for maintaining accurate and thorough records of financial transactions as well as the application of generally accepted accounting principles

• Working experience with performing tasks and identifying efficiencies with business process improvement tools and techniques and is able to understand, monitor, update, or enhance existing business or work processes

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 3 - 5 years of experience with an automated payroll system

   

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• High school diploma with some college

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• CPP certification

• Oracle Payroll

• Paychex payroll software
