Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, accounting, business or related area.

  • 6 - 10 years of work experience in sales, communications, marketing, academic advising or other related area.

  • Previous experience in project management.

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education: 

  • Knowledge and/or experience in accounting education and/or the accounting profession.

  • Experience in academic sales.

  • Master’s in Business Administration, Accountancy, Communications or related field.

 

Job Impact:

This position will continue and grow the Association efforts to open CGMA in the United States. They will work with universities to embed CGMA into curricula or offer CGMA opportunities to their students. The position will be responsible for working with the ASE and CGMA teams to establish strategic goals and plans. KPIs will be specific to universities supporting CGMA and number of students signing up for the CGMA FLP in the U.S.

 

Contribution:

This position will directly impact the Association strategic priority of growing CGMA in the U.S. The position will be responsible for increasing numbers in the CGMA FLP and supporting increasing student membership numbers for the Association.  

 

Communication Complexities:

Communication will be primarily to university faculty and students regarding the CGMA designation and FLP in the form of conversations and presentations. Effective communication and understanding of the CGMA syllabus and FLP will also be required to support university embedding of the syllabus. Communication will also be in the form of presentations at academic, student and Association conferences as well as internally to the Association leadership,

 

Innovation / Problem Solving:

A high level of innovation and problem solving, working with the ASE and CGMA teams, will be required for this role. An ability to see issues related to implementation or resources needed and leading in solving issues or creating resources is critical.

 

Complexity:

The level of complexity is moderate for this role. It will require an understanding of other disciplines addressed in the CGMA syllabus. These can be learned if needed upon hiring. Also required as strong communications and sales abilities.

 

Breadth:

This role is primarily within the United States. However, the role will reside in the Global University and Faculty Center of Excellence which also support CGMA/CIMA faculty globally.
