Senior Manager - Professional Qualification Governance
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of;
- professional accounting qualifications
- professional services delivery and standards;
- professional education and qualification development;
- the educational and accreditation approach required for professional qualifications and the business context.
- regulatory and compliance requirements relating to education and professional standards;
- legal contracts and agreements;
- business and commercial priorities and interests
- quality assurance; and
- governance processes procedures
Abilities, Able to:
- Identify risks and advise on appropriate controls and mitigation
- Manage relationships at senior and executive levels, with critical internal and external stakeholders
- Advise, negotiate and influence senior leadership on governance, quality assurance, accreditation, exemptions and associated regulations and risks
- Present and advise on complex matters to senior executives, boards and committees
- Review and advise on legal contracts and agreements
- Solve complex problems and aid product improvement
- Collaborate and consult with external stakeholders such as regulators, government departments and agencies, to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
- Work with other professional bodies at all levels and agree Mutual Recognition Agreements
- Explain policies and processes to a broad range of business stakeholders, including senior leadership and business management
- Design and conduct training that involves interpretation and communication of often complex and technical information
- Balance business and commercial priorities with legal, regulatory and academic requirements

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
- UK Master’s degree or equivalent
- Educational qualification (e.g. PGC(H)E or equivalent)
- Relevant experience working within; a professional body; an international/regional based organisation; and a university or similar educational environment
- Experience of
- internal audit of related activity and implementation of QA procedures
- Working with regulators
- Ensuring compliance with educational and regulatory standards Professional education curriculum and syllabus design and management
