Data Platform Analyst - Remote
About the Role:
Manage and increase data platforms to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and analytics. Play a crucial role in the data infrastructure of an organisation, working with data engineers, data scientists, and other partners to provide high-quality data solutions. Work to ensure data quality and accuracy and provides guidance to partners on data management and analytics best practices. Also, develop standards and procedures to ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and other industry best practices. You will report to the Director of Global Tech Solutions.
You Will:
Lead on administration and maintenance of data platforms and ensure the platforms are configured, optimized, and secure.
Monitor and enforce data quality standards and consistency across different data systems.
Implement data governance procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Monitor the performance of data platforms and identify areas for improvement. Analyse bottlenecks, and fine-tune data pipelines to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with data engineers to design ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading. This includes data modeling, data mapping, scripting, and scheduling of ETL jobs.
Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data. You will define access controls, managing user permissions, and implementing encryption and authentication mechanisms.
Partner with teams to understand data requirements and collaborate on data-related projects.
Document data platforms, processes, and workflows
Investigate and resolve data-related issues, such as data discrepancies, system failures, or performance degradation. Provide support to data users and partners, ensuring data platform availability.
Ensure quality and standards are maintained, and that technology developments are tracked and reflected in our platform
You Have:
Experience working as a Data Platform Analyst or in a related role
Experience of working with Snowflake and Power BI
Experience of working alongside internal stakeholders, to engineer reporting requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience within the accountancy profession would be advantageous but not essential
