About the Role

The primary purpose of the IT Project Lead Manager role is to ensure the delivery of single or multiple projects across one or more departments. The IT Project Lead Manager must do this within scope, quality, and time and cost constraints. It also includes management of risks and project change requests to ensure successful and project delivery.

You Will:

  • Review project proposals or plans to determine a time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and the assignment of available departmental resources to several project phases.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Review/approve the work plan of an external service provider, or consultancy, contracted to complete the project.
  • Provide monthly project metrics and ensure agreed KPIs are met.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the team.
  • Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Address vendor and client complaints in a respectful manner ensuring that IT maintains a positive image and provides high-quality services.
  • Be a coach to project managers, executives and others who need assistance regarding project management practices.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • 5+ years of experience working with business partners within a matrix environment.
  • Experience leading diverse teams.
