Manager - Accounts Receivable - Invoicing

About the Role:

You will have accountability of planning, delegating and supervising the Accounts Receivable (AR) team in all scopes consisting of all billing, billing adjustments, AR month-end close and other control tasks to ensure accurate revenue recognition and tax accounting. You will report to Senior Manager – Order to Cash (OTC). 

You Will:

  • Oversee receiving and recording of manual billing and billing adjustment requests ensuring accurate revenue recognition, validity of sale with the availability of signed sales contract, accurate accounting through legal entity, product and other elements, accurate tax accounting and other areas as relevant.

  • Manage and accurate closure of month-end ensuring all revenue for the month and year-end are captured and initiating manual journals to account for miss-outs.

  • Prepare and approve different analyses, schedules, control tasks performed by team such as sales cut-off reports, refund audit logs.

  • Develop analytical reviews to understand business trends, and correlations of important metrics related to sales, cash, collection, write-off and recommend solutions to improve performance.

  • Lead a team of people, following the Association’s Management Charter, with managing people being the primary responsibility.

  • Plan capacity of the team considering business cycle, short-term peaks, and technology and transformation projects, and work with line manager to rightly resource the team.

  • Prepare schedules reports requests by the internal and external auditors, investigate and explain deviations and anomalies to ensure auditors are well engaged to understand the principles and integrity of Associations receivable balances.

  • Identify AR policy gaps and consequences of the gaps related to team’s processes and recommend solutions to the line manage to bridge the gaps.

  • Work with other finance responsibilities within GBS, corporate and region, and business teams to resolve issues in an organized with line manager.

  • Support delivers projects related to OTC Tower working collaboratively with the line manager and other team members.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or professional finance qualification.

  • Experience managing AR Billing and adjustments processes at managerial level in GBS environment including experience in other AR functions at different times in career.

  • Exposure in delivering continuous improvement projects, Six Sigma, RPA and other automations.

  • Experience in Oracle and front-end billing systems.

  • Experience in system implementation.
