IT Business Analyst
About the Role:
The IT Business Analyst will liaise between IT and the partners to help understand their technology needs. You will be aligned to a business function, developing deep institutional knowledge and helping map requirements and processes to IT architecture.
You will help prioritize tech-enabled projects, ensuring return on investment is realized and is aligned with the Association's Strategy.
You will report to the Senior Manager - IT Business Relationship Management
You Will:
- Guide communication between IT and the important partner groups to understand their technology needs and issues.
- Obtain an understanding of relevant business area(s) to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
- Be a lead for strategic IT plans for the department
- Establish a communication methodology for efficient organisational communication
- Create artifacts, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flow.
- Use several techniques to understand requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
- Shape requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
- Identify and help prioritize opportunities to improve business processes
- Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into precise, detailed functional requirements.
- Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process
- Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize needs.
- Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps
- Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions
- Lead small projects to assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects
You will work as part of a planned on-call schedule and may also be required to work outside of regular business hours on occasion.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).
- 3 years of experience in business analysis.
- Business analysis certification or similar.
- Experience in ITIL, preferred

The Salary Range for this role is: $90k to $110k
