Summary of Role
Responsible for all aspects of the quality assurance process and Quality Control Material (QCM) audit related to the development and maintenance of the OnPoint Preparation, Complilation and Review and Dynamic Audit Solution applications, and any other products developed by the department, to ensure that the products are fit for purpose, consistent and meet both external and internal requirements:
 
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Devise, establish, maintain and manage the quality system, including policies, procedures, standards, recordkeeping systems, in accordance with relevant quality standards.
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitor quality performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Evaluate and monitor tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and identification of defects
  • Coordinate with and support the Methodology team with research related to requirements in standards and guidance, manage the process for identifying and contracting with audit firms to review technical content as it is developed, and ensure that such work is done following a quality control process consistent with that prescribed by the Association, including the maintenance of detailed records of compliance and project deliverables
  • Coordinate with and support the Development Team QA staff to ensure that work is done following a quality control process that is consistent with that prescribed by the Association, including the maintenance of detailed records of compliance and project deliverables
  • Identifies peer reviewers and coordinates annual QCM engagements for all applications
  • Monitors and implements changes as needed based on the evolution of Peer Review requirements and vendor best practices.
  • Responsible for monitoring and oversight of contractors.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Extensive working knowledge of the AICPA authoritative standards, including the ethics, quality control, and peer review standards
  • Knowledge of auditing/assurance services
  • Knowledge in QCM and/or peer reviews
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Strong understanding of the accounting profession and auditing/assurance services
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes
 

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • 7+ years of public accounting or relevant experience that delivers strong understanding of the accounting profession and auditing/assurance services and quality control processes
  • Bachelors degree  
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
  • CPA
  • Knowledge and experience in agile software QA
